The nature, biosynthesis and regulation of the genetic material in prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms. Mendelian principles, an introduction to
population and quantitative genetics, and an introduction to recombinant DNA and genomics will be included. Laboratory investigation of selected phenomena. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 120 and 121; CHEM 106 and 108.
