This course introduces the fundamental concepts and analytical tools that are used in the field of management information systems (MIS). Attention is directed toward MIS applications common to business environments. The primary objectives are to provide the student with a broad overview of the field of MIS and to enable development of competence in MIS decisionmaking. Students learn about many core issues in MIS including types of information, humancomputer interaction, supply chain systems, business intelligence, and the e-commerce implications in information systems. Prerequisite(s): BA 216, 301, and 305.
